TCMS HOPE Club members enjoyed a special service project during their meeting today! Students painted colorful rocks to send “Get Well Rock Wishes” to 6-year-old Maddie Lang of Kansas, who is battling rhabdomyosarcoma.
Maddie is working to collect decorated rocks from every state for her Rock Garden, so our HOPE Club was excited to make sure Georgia—and TCMS—are represented! ❤️💙
Our students put lots of creativity and encouragement into their rocks, sending Maddie well wishes all the way from Toombs County Middle School as she continues on her road to recovery.
We’re proud of our HOPE Club students for finding a meaningful way to spread kindness, encouragement, and a little HOPE beyond our own community! 🐾💛

Today, September 24, our schools will be conducting scheduled safety practice drills in partnership with local law enforcement and emergency responders. We want to reassure families that there is no threat to our students or staff. These drills are required by state law (HB 147). We perform these checks periodically to practice safety procedures and ensure the safety and well-being of our students and staff. We appreciate the support of our families and community as we continue to make the safety and well-being of our students and staff a top priority.

For everyone’s safety, please park only in the main parking lot in front of the school. Do not drive through the gates or attempt to park behind the school.
➡️ Getting to the Field:
After parking, walk toward the softball field side of campus and enter through the marked entrance gate. Restrooms are located near the entrance.
🪑 Seating:
Bleacher seating is limited, so feel free to bring a chair or a blanket and sit on the hill.

Ms. Kramer’s 8th grade Social Studies students are learning about Georgia’s government and the Georgia Constitution. This week, groups put their learning into action by creating their own TCMS Constitution, complete with five new rules they think should be implemented at school!
Some suggestions included one hour of recess, choosing their own Connections classes, and no homework.
A fun way to bring Georgia government to life in the classroom! 🐾❤️💙

As our community adjusts to the new roadway and traffic patterns, Toombs County Schools asks everyone to use extra caution, especially at the intersection of the US 1 Bypass and Bulldog Road.
Please be alert for cross traffic, slow down, and allow extra time as drivers become familiar with the new intersection and traffic flow.
