Toombs County Schools proudly recognized and honored its retirees for their years of dedicated service, commitment, and lasting impact on the students, staff, and families of our school community at the May 12, 2026 Board of Education meeting. Their hard work, leadership, and passion for education have helped shape the success and future of Toombs County Schools, and we are grateful for the legacy they leave behind.

LUES Honors Day programs will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 in the Toombs County High School Auditorium. All parents and guardians are invited to attend. Students should come to school as usual, and we will bus their class to TCHS for the program.

The time for each grade level program is listed below:
5th grade 8:30 A.M.
4th grade 10:00 A.M.
3rd grade 11:00 A.M.

Following each program, teachers will escort their students back to the buses for the return trip to LUES. If you would like to sign your child out, please do so at LUES. You will be able to sign your child out from his/her homeroom classroom. Your child’s report card, certificates, etc will be in his/her packet located in the homeroom classroom. Students may not be signed out at TCHS. Please remember that a student may only be signed out by a person listed on the student’s school information sheet.

Fourth grade students in Ms. Howell's AM class and Ms. Howell & Mrs. Kight's PM class celebrated their math growth and hard work this year with snow cones! We are so proud of the progress they've made!
