The new US 1 Bypass in Lyons is scheduled to open the week of September 21st.
As our community adjusts to the new roadway and traffic patterns, Toombs County Schools asks everyone to use extra caution, especially at the intersection of the US 1 Bypass and Bulldog Road.
Please be alert for cross traffic, slow down, and allow extra time as drivers become familiar with the new intersection and traffic flow.
The safety of our students, staff, families, and community remains our top priority.
Are you a grandparent, relative, or other caregiver raising a child? The Toombs County Kinship Caregiver Support Group is a place to connect with others, share experiences, find support, and build community.

Lace Up for Mission Excellence! 👟🐾
To our LUES partners,
It’s time to Lace Up for Mission Excellence and show our Bulldog pride! We are excited to kick off our Shoe Drive Fundraiser, and we need your help to make it a huge success.
This fundraiser is a win-win! Donated shoes will help communities in need around the world while also raising much-needed funds for our school. Proceeds will help support our Veterans Day Breakfast and other special school events and activities for our students.
Here’s how you can help:
👟 Collection boxes will be located at the end of each hall and in front of the Media Center.
📅 The shoe drive runs through October 31st.
📦 We need 100+ bags, with 25 pairs of shoes per bag, to qualify for free shipping!!
⚖️ The company pays us by the pound, and our BIG goal is 25,000 pounds of shoes!
