It's time for another PBIS Celebration.

📚 4th Grade ELA in Action!
Mrs. Matthews’ students did a fantastic job learning about different types of texts—historical, scientific, and technical. Students were engaged, eager to participate, and used hands-on strategies to show their understanding. Great learning happening in the classroom! 👏✨

Our 5th grade scientists in Mrs. Milligan's class have been busy experimenting, exploring, and discovering. Curiosity was high, excitement was everywhere, and learning was happening.

👟 Friendly Reminder – Shoe Dress Code 👟
As the Christmas season approaches and families shop for their children, we want to take a moment to remind everyone of our school’s shoe dress code. Recently, we have seen an increase in students wearing shoes that do not meet elementary school guidelines.
Please remember:
• Flip flops or slides of any kind are not permitted
• All shoes must be secured at the toe and heel (shoelaces tied, buckles secured, or Velcro fastened)
• Bedroom shoes/slippers are not allowed
• Shoes should not be of extended length and heel height may not exceed 2 inches
Thank you for your continued support in helping our students come to school ready to learn. 🎄✨

Students in Mrs. Payne's 5th grade class wowed us with their Social Studies presentations. They taught the class about key leaders as well as turning points in history. Our 5th graders showed confidence, creativity, and understanding of the past. We are so proud of their hard work!

After learning how to locate, gather, select, and organize information from multiple credible sources, Mrs. Brantley's third grade students put their new skills to work by researching a sea creature of their choice. Today, they proudly presented their projects. Using fascinating facts to create visuals, each student showcased just how much they learned.

Toombs County Family,
We are headed BACK TO THE BENZ!
On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, our Toombs County Bulldogs will compete for the GHSA Class A Division 1 State Championship for the 2nd consecutive year. We are extremely proud of our football team for earning this opportunity, and equally proud of our band and cheerleaders who will join them and create lasting memories at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Because more than 150 students and staff must travel to Atlanta and be loaded on buses at designated times for the 2:00 p.m. game, we must adjust our school operations for that day.
The Toombs County School System will be closed on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. Regular operations will resume on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.
We apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause, and we appreciate your flexibility and support. We invite the entire Toombs County community to join us in Atlanta as we cheer on our Bulldogs in their pursuit of a State Championship. Please join me in wishing our football team, band, cheerleaders, and coaches the very best as they represent Toombs County with excellence.
Go Dogs!
