LUES Community — our teachers and staff are stepping out of the classroom and onto the stage! 😎🎶

We’ll be competing in a Lip Sync Battle against several awesome organizations from across the county, including:

There will be two awards up for grabs:

🏆 Golden Brush Award — chosen by the judges
❤️ People’s Choice Award — YOU decide the winner! Every $1 = 1 vote.

The winner of the People’s Choice Award will receive 10% of the money raised to donate to the nonprofit organization of their choice.

If LUES wins, we’ll be donating our winnings to Loving Lyons — an organization that does so much to support our school and our community! ❤️

So come out, cheer us on, and help us bring home that Golden Brush! 🏆🎤

This is Bennie. Bennie the Bean is our mascot for our new reading incentive program, Beanstack. Bennie loves books! Bennie loves the Bullldogs! He has been reading in the principal's chair today, but he found a new location for tomorrow so he could see all the students. Bennie is ready for the big game with a special book!

Math is better together! Our 3rd grade mathematicians worked collaboratively to solve challenging problems, share strategies, explain their thinking, and learn from one another. We love seeing our students take ownership of their learning and discover that there’s more than one way to solve a problem!

Lyons Main Street is excited to invite K–12 students to participate in the 2026 Pig Tales: This Little Piggy Wrote a Story Writing Competition - held in conjunction with The Real Squeal BBQ & Music Festival.

Contest Rules
● The PIG TALES Writing Competition is open to all students in grades
K-12 attending any public, private or home school in surrounding
Counties .
● Students are limited to one entry.
● Entries may be written for the purpose of this competition, or as part
of a school assignment.
● Entries must be written in English.
● Entries may be typed or handwritten, provided they are printed and
legible.
● Qualified entries shall be (a) either a short story, poem, or nonfiction
essay (one entry per person) (b) no longer than 750 words (c) written
solely by the entrant (d) not previously published (e) nor in conflict
with trademark, copyright, rights of privacy, rights of publicity or any
other rights, of any kind or nature, of any other person or entity; (f)
which does not include any language or other content that is
indecent or inappropriate as determined by the City of Lyons (g)
accompanied by a completed RELEASE AGREEMENT. Entries not
satisfying these criteria in any respect will be disqualified.
● E-mailed entries are allowed email them to
lyonsmainstreet@lyonsga.gov
● Submission must be written by you. AI-generated or AI-assisted
writing is not allowed.
