L4GA Grant Announcement

L4GA Grant Announcement
L4GA Grant LogoWe are honored to announce that Toombs County Schools has been awarded the Literacy for Georgia (L4GA) Grant, along with Vidalia City Schools. We would like to thank our principals, instructional coaches and assistant superintendent Carmen Roberts for the time, energy, effort and passion that has gone into this process. This grant is a five year grant and Toombs County Schools will be receiving $3.3 million over the course of that five year period. This could not come at a more critical time as funding levels are being reduced and we are looking for the most effective ways to continue delivering an educational experience that is second to none. The L4GA grant will be a game changer for our system and will allow us to continue to provide more tools for our teachers to invest into our students. This grant is specifically intended to provide additional support for primary and elementary literacy initiatives. Please read the full press release in Southeast Georgia Today here.
