Jocey Erin Ricks is the 2015-2016 Toombs County FFA Vice President. She is the daughter of Brantley and Cindy Ricks and a rising senior at Toombs County High School. Her position as the Vice President has seem to become a tradition for her family, her dad served as a Georgia FFA State Vice President in 1977-1978 and her brother, Wesley Ricks, served as the 2014-2015 Vice President of the Toombs County FFA Chapter. Erin enjoys playing the piano, guitar, and clarinet. She is a member of the Toombs County Redcoat Marching Band, where she uses these skills playing the keyboard at the games on Friday nights and at competitions. Erin enjoys the spirit of competition, over the years she has competed in forestry competitions (both 4-H and FFA), Poultry Judging, Cotton Bowl and Consumer Judging, District Project Achievement, and hog shows. Her favorite competition are the hog shows, which is also her Supervised Agriculture Experience Project (SAE Project). Erin raises a hog each year to compete in the local Toombs County 4-H/FFA Hog Show and in the state show in Perry, Georgia. Erin plans for the future are to attend Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College and pursue a degree in Diversified Agriculture with a focus on Agribusiness.
